Friday saw the eagerly awaited advent of a rehabilitation stream at BSAVA Congress 2015, and what a success the day was!
A full day’s programme with lectures by international speakers Anna Hielm-Bjork from Finland, Isabelle Iff from Switzerland and our own Lowri Davies from Wales were focussed on pain and its complex interaction with movement. With the lecture room packed to the rafters and overflowing onto the huge plasma screen in the central reception area, where delegates who couldn’t get in to the hall gamely sat on the floor and joined in with the speaker, it is safe to say that rehab has arrived well and truly in the mainstream at last.
It was great to chat to so many interested people from all over the world and we hope to welcome many of you to BVRSMA. We hope you liked our lovely T-shirts…. Our next online clinical club meeting (to which overseas members are most welcome!) will be posted shortly and should be a very thought-provoking affair, so watch this space!
